Digha - An attractive tourist destination in West Bengal

West Bengal is a unique state having almost all types of tourism. The State is having Beach Tourism, Cultural Tourism, Eco Tourism, Wildlife Tourism and Mountain Tourism. Digha is known for beach tourism and is having beautiful sea beaches.

Brief History of Digha:

Originally Digha was a village called Beerkul and was discovered during the time of Warren Hastings in the late 18th century. In one of the letters of Warren Hastings to his wife, it was mentioned as Brighton of the East. An English Businessmen, John Frank Snaith who was attracted by its beauty started living there in 1923. He convinced West Bengal Chief Minister, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy to develop this place as a beach resort. 

Location and Transport to Reach Digha:

Digha is located at a distance of about 185 km south-west of Kolkata. Nearest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata and nearest Railway station is Digha. Digha is well connected with Kolkata by both road and rail. Tamralipta Express (12857) departs from Howrah at 6:50 Hrs and its arrival time at Digha is 10:15 Hrs. Both AC Chair car and non-AC Chair Car coaches are there in the train. Tamralipta Express (12858) departs from Digha at 10:35 Hrs. and its arrival time at Howrah is 13:55 Hrs. There are other trains but I prefer Tamralipta Express because journey is much comfortable in this train. You may also prefer road transport either by bus or by car / cab. One may book bus tickets online from the website of redbus where the information on fares of buses run by various transport operators with schedule time of departure are given. 

Accommodation in Digha:

Almost all types of accomodations i.e., budget hotels to star hotels are available in Digha. There are few hotels owned by Government of West Bengal and its undertaking i.e., Saikatabas, Dighali Tourism Property, Digha Tourist Lodge, Oceana Tourist Complex, Digha Holiday Home (Abasarika). There are some star hotels like Dolphin, Hotel Seagull, Rupasi Bangla, Hotel Sea Hawk, etc. There are some hotels in Digha near sea beach, i.e., Saikatabas, Hotel Sea Hawk, Hotel Seagull. Hotel Le ROi is near Digha Railway station.

Local Transports available in Digha:

Local transports available in Digha are Toto (e-vehicle), Auto-Rickshaw and Tourist Car. One need to bargain while hiring any vehicle. 

Places of Interests in Digha:

Sea beaches in Digha are famous for its wideness and is having one of the widest beaches in the world.  Sea beaches in both New and Old Digha are attractive. There is a metalled road parallel to sea beach from New Digha to Mohana. Sea beach in Digha is very neat and clean because of prohibition of use of polythene bag in Digha.

The picture in the left shows the wide and clean sea beach in Old Digha on the way to Mohana. You may see the seating arrangements on the embankment of sea beach where tourists can seat and enjoy sea waves. This sea beach is extended up to Mohana. Both sunrise and sunset are enjoyable in the sea beach of Digha. Sea beaches in both Old and New Digha are having tourist attractions. New Digha is at a distance of about 2 Km from Old Digha. Shared Autos are available to commute between Old and New Digha. 

Sea beach sites of both Old and New Digha are attractive. One can take bath in sea beaches of both Old and New Digha during the morning hours provided sea is not turbulent. Evening and Night are also enjoyable in the sea beaches of both Old and New Digha. You can also enjoy horse riding and boat riding in sea beach during evening hours.

You can see tourists enjoying in the sea beach of Digha. Night is beautiful near sea beaches of both Old and New Digha. You will find many stalls near sea beach selling food items, bags, garments, articles made from conch, etc. Roads and streets near sea beaches are well decorated with light. You may find lighting decoration near sea beach. You can enjoy eating sea foods in sea beach. Prawn fry (Chingri Bhaja) is famous and delicious seafood. 

                                                                      

 Sunrise is beautiful at Mohana. When the sun rises, it appears as it is rising from the middle of the sea. It is a meeting point of river Champa and Bay of Bengal. During high tide you will not find any demarcation between sea and river. River Champa is clearly visible during low tide.  There is a wholesale fish market at Mohana. In this fish market fishermen sell fish at wholesale prices. Fresh sea fish like Shrimp, Bhola, Vetki, etc. are available in this market from where many tourists prefer to buy fish and cook it in their room. Many tourists from Kolkata and nearby places buy fish on the last day of the tour for taking it to their destinations. 

Amarabati Park is another tourist attraction place which is at 5 minutes walking distance from New Digha sea beach. There is an entry fee of ₹10 per person for entering inside the park. However, there is no entry fee for the children below the age of 3 years. The park is open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. It is better to visit this park during winter season i.e., from October to February. You will have pleasant weather during this period. It is better to avoid visiting this place during summer and monsoon season. There is a beautiful lake in the middle of the park with boating facility. There is a paved walkway surrounding the lake. There is a ropeway inside the park for which one has to buy ticket separately. One has to buy separate ticket for boating in the lake. You will find varieties of plants, birds and animals inside the park. There is a play area for children.                                                                                                                          

Marine Aquarium of Zoological Survey of India is another tourist attraction in Digha. It is a Marine Aquarium cum Regional Centre (MARC) and has the largest inbuilt aquarium in India. You will find the following three kinds of creatures in the aquarium. 

(i) Species of Conservative Importance 

(ii) Local and Curious Species

(iii) Freshwater Species

MARC, Digha is one of the 16th Regional Centres of Zoological Survey of India under Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. It was established in 1989 and is having two distinct wings i.e., Research Centre and Aquarium. Aquarium was opened to the public on February 04, 2003. Research Centre provides facilities to all accredited researchers working in the field of various aspects of coastal marine ecosystem. The information on various aspects of coastal and marine biodiversity are available with the Centre. The aquarium consists of 24 large aquarium tanks exhibiting various marine species including horse-shoe crabs, sea anemones, lobsters, starfishes, sharks, etc.  For more information, one can visit the official website of Zoological Survey of India, Government of India. 

Other Places of Interests near Digha:

     In addition to the above-mentioned places of interest in Digha, there are some other tourist attraction places near Digha. Chandaneswar Shiv Temple, Mandarmani Beach, Shankarpur Beach and Udaipur Beach are tourist attraction places near Digha. Mandarmani Beach is famous for water sport activities. Digha-Mandarmani Beach festival is celebrated in the month of January every year.  

    It is not possible to cover all the places in Digha and surrounding areas in 2-3 days short tour. It is better to cover beaches and other places in New and Old Digha in one tour for 3-4 days so that you can enjoy sightseeing with rest and leisure. Mandarmani beach, Shankarpur beach, Chandaneswar Shiv Temple, Udaipur beach, etc., may be covered in another tour for 3-4 days with stay in Mandarmani.  There are good hotels in Mandarmani near sea beach. If you are staying in far off place then it is advisable to spend at least 6-7 days in Digha and Mandarmani to cover maximum places in and around Digha and Mandarmani. It is better to travel to these places during winter season.

जीवन की दूसरी पारी के दौरान दीघा में हनीमून

मैं स्वयं अपनी पत्नी के साथ अपनी शादी के लगभग 30 साल बाद 19 अप्रैल से 22 अप्रैल, 2022 तक दूसरी बार दीघा आया हूं।  26 अप्रैल 1992 को मेरी शादी के ठीक बाद मई 1992 के दौरान हम पहली बार दीघा गए थे। जैसा कि आप जानते हैं कि मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर मेरी पिछली पोस्ट में मैंने आनंद और मनोरंजन के लिए बाहर जाने पर जोर दिया था। इसी उद्देश्य से हमने दीघा जाने का फैसला किया।

    दीघा पश्चिम बंगाल का सबसे लोकप्रिय समुद्र तट है और कोलकाता से लगभग 185 किमी दूर है। यह पश्चिम बंगाल के पूर्व मेदिनीपुर जिले में एक समुद्र तटीय सैरगाह शहर है और बंगाल की खाड़ी के समुद्र तट पर स्थित है। दीघा समुद्र तट पर सूर्योदय और सूर्यास्त दोनों का ही आनंद मिलता है। दीघा के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी मैं अपनी आने वाली पोस्ट में दूंगा। इस पोस्ट में मैं दीघा की अपनी यात्रा पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना चाहूंगा। 

         दीघा की यह हमारी दूसरी हनीमून यात्रा है क्योंकि हमारी पहली हनीमून यात्रा हमारी शादी के ठीक बाद दीघा की थी। दीघा की अपनी पहली हनीमून यात्रा से लगभग 30 साल बाद हम दीघा गए हैं। इस बार हमने इस यात्रा के दौरान कई बदलाव देखे।

 जो परिवर्तन हमने इस यात्रा के दौरान देखे:

   30 साल पहले हमारी शादी के ठीक बाद, हमने दीघा में हनीमून के लिए जाने की योजना बनाई थी। उस समय, हमने बस से दीघा की यात्रा की, क्योंकि उस समय सड़क परिवहन ही एकमात्र उपलब्ध विकल्प था। लेकिन इस बार हमने हावड़ा से दीघा तक की यात्रा ‘ताम्रलिप्ता एक्सप्रेस’ ट्रेन से की।  मैं हमेशा ट्रेन से यात्रा करना पसंद करता हूं क्योंकि सड़क परिवहन की तुलना में रेल परिवहन मेरे लिए अधिक आरामदायक है। तमलुक-दीघा रेल ट्रैक के पूरा होने के बाद हावड़ा से दीघा तक रेल परिवहन शुरू हुआ। तमलुक से दीघा रेलवे लाइन 2004 में खोली गई थी और 2012-13 के दौरान ट्रैक का विद्युतीकरण किया गया था।

ताम्रलिप्ता एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन हावड़ा स्टेशन से सुबह 6.50 बजे रवाना हुई और सुबह 10.00 बजे दीघा रेलवे स्टेशन पहुंची। दीघा रेलवे स्टेशन से हमने अपने हॉलिडे होम तक पहुंचने के लिए एक टोटो (एक इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन) भाड़े पर लिया।हॉलिडे होम में हमारा रहना आरामदायक था। हमें केयर टेकर से घूमने के स्थानों और उचित किराए सहित परिवहन के साधन के बारे में बहुत सारी जानकारी मिली। हमने सुबह और शाम दोनों समय समुद्र तटों की सुंदरता का आनंद लिया। इस बार हमें पुराने और नए दीघा के समुद्री तटों के पास बहुत से पर्यटक आकर्षण देखने को मिले। इस बार हम अपनी को-ऑपरेटिव क्रेडिट सोसाइटी के हॉलिडे होम में रुके थे जबकि 30 साल पहले हम होटल सी हॉक में रुके थे जो ओल्ड दीघा समुद्र तट के निकट है।

एक ही स्थान की ये दो तस्वीरें 30 वर्षों की अवधि के दौरान हुए परिवर्तनों को दर्शाती हैं। समुद्र तटों के पास बहुत विकास हुआ।2022 में ली गई इस तस्वीर से स्पष्ट है कि समुद्र तटों के पास के स्थान अब अधिक साफ और स्वच्छ तथा आकर्षक हैं। दीघा में प्लास्टिक कैरी बैग का इस्तेमाल पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया है। इससे दीघा में समुद्र तटों की सफाई बनाए रखने में मदद मिली। इस बार मैंने देखा कि समुद्र के किनारे और समुद्र तटों पर प्लास्टिक और अन्य कचरा नहीं है। दीघा में समुद्र तट साफ और स्वच्छ तथा आकर्षक हैं।

हमने रोजाना सुबह और शाम समुद्र तटों की सुंदरता का आनंद लिया। हमने समुद्री हवा और समुद्री लहरों की गर्जना का आनंद लिया। शाम को समुद्र तट पर बैठना, लहरों को देखना और समुद्री हवा का आनंद लेना हमारे मन और शरीर को बहुत आनंद दिया। इस बार हमने यह भी देखा कि समुद्र तट के किनारों को और अधिक आकर्षक बनाया गया है। इस बार हमें समुद्री तटों पर और उसके आसपास बैठने की बेहतर व्यवस्था मिली।

ओल्ड और न्यू दीघा दोनों के समुद्र तट के पास रात खूबसूरत है।पुराने दीघा और न्यू दीघा समुद्र तटों दोनों में बहुत सारे स्टॉल हैं जहाँ से आप स्थानीय रूप से बने बैग, शंख से बनी वस्तुएँ आदि खरीद सकते हैं। आपको वहां खाने के स्टॉल भी मिल जाएंगे।इस बार हमें समुद्र तट पर रात के समय लाइटिंग डेकोरेशन देखने को मिला जो पर्यटकों के आकर्षण का केंद्र है।

इस बार हमें समुद्र तट के समानांतर नई दीघा से मोहना तक फैली पक्की सड़क मिली। इस तस्वीर में आप देख सकते हैं कि पर्यटक सड़क पर चल रहे हैं और कुछ पर्यटक समुद्र तट के तटबंध पर बने प्लेटफॉर्म पर बैठे हैं। आपको चाय, खाद्य पदार्थ और अन्य सामान बेचने वाले विक्रेता भी मिल सकते हैं। इस बार हमने देखा कि पर्यटक दीघा समुद्र तट की रात की खूबसूरती का लुत्फ उठा रहे हैं। हमने दीघा समुद्र तट की रात की खूबसूरती का भी लुत्फ उठाया।

 

इस बार हमने न्यू दीघा के अमरावती पार्क का भी भ्रमण किया। यह एक सुंदर प्रकृति पार्क है जिसमें प्रचुर मात्रा में हरियाली है। पार्क के अंदर एक बड़ी झील, पेड़ , पौधे और रोपवे है। पार्क के अंदर जाने के लिए प्रवेश शुल्क है तथा नौका विहार और रोपवे की सवारी के लिए अलग टिकट है। हमने रोपवे की सवारी का आनंद लिया क्योंकि रोपवे से बगीचे का पूरा दृश्य दिखाई देता है। आप झील और आसपास के क्षेत्र को कवर करते हुए रोपवे से ली गई तस्वीर देख सकते हैं।

       पार्क के भीतर आपको बत्तख, जानवर और अन्य पक्षी मिल जाएंगे। पार्क के भीतर बच्चों के खेलने का क्षेत्र है।

मोहना चंपा नदी का बंगाल की खाड़ी से मिलन स्थल है। ज्वार के दौरान समुद्र और नदी में अंतर करना बहुत मुश्किल होता है। भाटा के दौरान जब नदी का पानी समुद्र की ओर बह रहा होता है तो चंपा नदी स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाई देती है। ज्वार के दौरान समुद्र का पानी चंपा नदी की ओर बहता है। मोहना में एक मछली बाजार है। मोहना में सूर्योदय का आनंद लिया जा सकता है। मोहना में सूर्योदय सुंदर है।बादल छाए रहने के कारण हम इस यात्रा के दौरान सूर्योदय का आनंद नहीं ले सके। हम अपनी अगली दीघा यात्रा के दौरान इसका आनंद लेने की आशा करते हैं।

       

   👈इस यात्रा के दौरान हमें समुद्र तट के पास दीघा में पर्यटकों के आकर्षण वाली कई ऐसी खूबसूरत संरचनाएं देखने को मिलीं। हमें ऐसे खूबसूरती से डिजाइन किए गए शेड भी देखने को मिले जहां पर्यटक बैठ सकते है।

  दीघा के अपने तीन दिवसीय दौरे में, हमने मुख्य रूप से पुराने और नए दीघा में समुद्री तटों को कवर किया। दीघा के पास कई अन्य स्थान हैं जैसे मंदारमणि, शंकरपुर बीच, उदयपुर बीच, तलसारी बीच, चंदनेश्वर मंदिर, आदि जो पर्यटकों के लिए आकर्षक हैं। हमने मंदारमणि की अपनी अगली यात्रा के दौरान इन स्थानों को कवर करने का निर्णय लिया है। हम कुछ दिनों में कई स्थानों को कवर करने वाले तूफानी दौरे पसंद नहीं करते। हम अवकाश यात्रा पसंद करते हैं।

      

इस यात्रा के दौरान हमने अपने भीतर जो बदलाव महसूस किए:

     शादी के कुछ ही दिनों बाद हम हनीमून के लिए दीघा गए। चूंकि हमारी अरेंज मैरिज थी और शादी से पहले एक-दूसरे को नहीं जानते थे, इसलिए हमारे बीच समझ विकसित करने में काफी समय लगा। इसलिए दीघा की पहली यात्रा के दौरान हमारा अनुभव आनंद से अधिक रोमांच था। हम एक-दूसरे की पसंद-नापसंद के बारे में नहीं जानते थे और अपनी पिछली यात्रा के दौरान एक-दूसरे के लिए इतने खुले नहीं थे। हमने अपने बीच समझ विकसित करने के लिए समुद्र के किनारे और समुद्री तटों पर एक-दूसरे के साथ समय बिताया। हमने स्ट्रीट फूड जैसे चिंगरी भाजा (तली हुई झींगा), बेगुनी (तली हुई बैंगन), बादाम भाजा (तली हुई मूंगफल्ली), आदि का आनंद लिया और काजू, शंख से बनी सामग्री, आदि की कुछ खरीदारी की। इसलिए दीघा की हमारी पहली हनीमून यात्रा आपसी समझ विकसित करने पर अधिक केंद्रित था।

       इस बार दीघा की हमारी यात्रा पूरी तरह से अवकाश और आनंद पर केंद्रित था। हमारे बीच आपसी समझ विकसित करने के लिए तीस साल का साथ पर्याप्त से अधिक है। दीघा की पहली और दूसरी दोनों यात्रा में कुछ समानताएं और अंतर हैं। दीघा की दोनों यात्राओं में मैं अपनी पत्नी के साथ था लेकिन फर्क सिर्फ इतना है कि अब हमारे दो वयस्क बेटे हैं, हालांकि वर्तमान में उनके अध्ययन और नौकरी के कारण हमारे साथ नहीं रह रहे हैं। मैं अपनी पिछली यात्रा के दौरान नौकरी पर था। इस यात्रा के दौरान मैं एक सेवानिवृत्त व्यक्ति हूं और जीवन की दूसरी पारी व्यतीत कर रहा हूं। इस बार हम कुछ जिम्मेदारियों से मुक्त थे और इसलिए इस यात्रा का बेहतर आनंद उठाया। हमने अपने दिल और दिमाग से इस दीघा यात्रा का आनंद उठाया। इस बार हमने अपने दिल की गहराई से अलग-अलग नजरिए से प्रकृति और उसकी सुंदरता का आनंद उठाया। इस यात्रा के दौरान हम अपने एक मित्र के संपर्क में आए जो मेरा सहकर्मी भी था और संयोग से उसकी पत्नी भी मेरी पत्नी की सहपाठी थी जिसे मैं पहले नहीं जानता था। मेरी पत्नी और मेरे दोस्त की पत्नी के लिए यह बहुत अधिक आनंद की बात थी क्योंकि वे 35 साल बाद मिल रहे थे। इसने हमारे दीघा दौरे को और अधिक मनोरंजक तथा हमेशा के लिए यादगार बना दिया। 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

                                                                                         

Honeymoon in Digha during Second Innings of life

I myself with my wife visited Digha for the second time from April 19 to April 22, 2022 after about 30 years of our marriage. First time we visited Digha during May 1992 just after my marriage on April 26, 1992. As you know that in my one previous post on mental health I emphasised on going for outing for joy and recreation. With the same purpose we decided to visit Digha. 

      Digha is the most popular sea beach in West Bengal and is about 185 Km from Kolkata. It is a seaside resort town in Purba Medinipur District of West Bengal and is situated on the seashore of Bay of Bengal. Both sunrise and sunset are enjoyable at the Digha sea beach. I will give more detail information on Digha in my upcoming post. In this post I would like to focus on my trip to Digha.

         This is our second honeymoon trip to Digha as our first honeymoon trip was to Digha just after our marriage. We have visited Digha nearly after 30 years from our first honeymoon trip to Digha. This time we observed many changes during this trip. 

   Changes that we observed during this trip:

   Before 30 years just after our marriage, we planned to go for honeymoon at Digha. At that time, we travelled to Digha by Bus since road transport was the only available option at that time. But this time we travelled by train, Tamralipta Express, from Howrah to Digha. I always prefer to travel by train as rail transport is more comfortable to me than road transport. Rail transportation from Howrah to Digha started after the completion of Tamluk-Digha Rail track. Tamluk to Digha Railway line was opened in 2004 and the track was electrified during 2012-13.

The train Tamralipta Express departed from Howrah station at 6.50 am and reached Digha Railway station at 10.00 am. From Digha Railway station we hired one Toto (an electric vehicle) to reach our Holiday Home. Our stay at Holiday home was comfortable. We got lot of information from the caretaker regarding places to be visited and mode of transport including reasonable fare. We enjoyed beauty of sea beaches both in the morning and in the evening. This time we found lot of tourist attractions near sea beaches of Old and New Digha. This time we stayed in Holiday Home of our Co-operative Credit Society whereas 30 years before we stayed in Hotel Sea Hawk which is near Old Digha Sea beach.

These two photographs of the same location shows the changes that took place during the period of 30 years. Lot of development took place near sea beaches. The places near sea beaches are now more neat and clean and attractive as evident from this photograph taken in 2022. Use of plastic carry bag has been completely prohibited in Digha. This helped in maintaining the cleanliness of beaches in Digha. This time I observed that there is no plastic and other garbages on sea shore and beaches. Sea beaches in Digha are neat and clean and attractive.

We enjoyed the beauty of sea beaches daily in the morning and evening. We enjoyed sea breeze and roaring of sea waves. Seating on sea beach in the evening, observing waves and enjoying sea breeze gave us lot of pleasure to our mind and body. This time we also observed that the sea beach sides have been made more attractive. This time we found better seating arrangements in and around sea beaches.  

Night is beautiful near sea beach of both Old and New Digha. Lot of stalls are there in both Old Digha and New Digha Sea beaches from where you can purchase locally made bags, articles made from conch, etc. You will also find food stalls there. This time we found lighting decoration during night at sea beach which is having tourist attraction.

This time we found metalled road parallel to sea shore stretching from New Digha to Mohana. In this picture you may find that tourists are walking on road and some tourists are seating on platform built on the embankment of sea beach. You may also find vendors selling tea, foods and other articles. This time we found that tourists are enjoying the night beauty of Digha Sea Beach. We also enjoyed the night beauty of Digha Sea beach. 

This time we also visited Amarabati Park in New Digha. It's a beautiful nature park with abundance of greenery. Inside the park there is a big lake, plants, trees and ropeway. There is an entry fee to get inside the park and seperate tickets for boating and riding ropeway. We enjoyed ropeway riding as the complete view of the garden is visible from ropeway. You may see the photo taken from ropeway covering the lake and surrounding area.

       You will find duck, animals and other birds inside the Park. Mohana is a meeting point of river Champa with the Bay of Bengal. During high tide it is very difficult to distinguish sea and river. River Champa is clearly visible during low tide when river water is flowing toward sea. During high tide sea water flows toward river Champa. There is a fish market at Mohana. One can enjoy sunrise at Mohana. Sunrise is beautiful at Mohana. We could not enjoy sunrise during this visit due to cloudy whether. We hope to enjoy it during our next visit to Digha.

  In our three day tour to Digha, we mainly covered sea beaches in Old and New Digha. There are many other places having tourist attractions near Digha like Mandarmani, Shankarpur Beach, Udaipur Beach, Talsari Beach, Chandaneswar Temple, etc. We have decided to cover these places during our next trip to Mandarmani. We never prefer hurricane tour covering many places in few days. We prefer leisure tour.

      

Changes that we felt within us during this trip: 

     Just few days after our marriage we went to Digha for honeymoon. Since our was an arranged marriage and not knowing each other before marriage it took much time to develop  understanding between us. Therefore, our experience during first trip to Digha was more of thrill than enjoyment. We were not aware of each other's liking and disliking and not so open to each other during our earlier trip. We spent time with each other on sea shore and beaches for developing understanding between us. We enjoyed street food like chingri bhaja (shrimp fried), beguni (eggplant fried), badam bhaja (fried nuts), etc. and did some purchasing of cashew nuts, articles made from cronch, etc. So our first honeymoon trip to Digha was more focussed on developing mutual understanding.

       This time our trip to Digha was totally focussed on leisure and enjoyment. Thirty years of togetherness is more than sufficient to develop mutual understanding between us. Both first and second trip to Digha are having certain similarities as well as differences. In both the trips to Digha I was accompanied by my wife but the only difference is that we are now having two adult sons though at present not staying with us due to their study and job. I was in job during my earlier visit. During this visit I am a retired person and leading second innings of life.  This time we were free from certain responsibilities and therefore enjoyed this trip better. We enjoyed this Digha tour from the core of our heart and mind. This time we enjoyed the nature and its beauty in different perspective from the core of our heart. During this trip we came into contact with one of my friend who was also my office colleague and incidentally his wife was also classmate of my wife which I was not knowing earlier. It was much added enjoyment for my wife and my friend's wife as they were meeting after 35 years. This made our Digha tour more enjoyable and memorable for ever.
